They talked about nothing in particular as they walked the few short blocks to the old home. Joyce deliberately tried to keep the conversation light, staying clear of any conversation about the house. She was certain the old house was and is haunted. But she wasn't sure what any of them could do about it. Deep down, Joyce was thrilled to be included in this adventure of her daughter's and her friends. She had always wanted to go hunting for ghosts but never had the opportunity nor the ability to do so. Generally, Joyce knew, it would require traveling to another location to investigate a haunting. So the activity of investigation could end up being very expensive. "So, " Norm said in his normal matter of fact manner, "what is it exactly we hope to accomplish going to this house?"
